Description
Shaker Style Oak Peg Rail – 4 Hooks
Some things are considered classics for a very good reason. I think that a Shaker style peg rail is one such item. It does what it intends to . . . . gives you a space to hang coats, scarves and hats . . . but does so with an economy of form and timeless style.
These peg rails are made from oak by Creamore Mill in North Shropshire.
There are 4 pegs on this length of rail, if you need more you could either put two side by side or contact us and we can potentially source the 6 peg option for you. There are numerous examples of a whole run of these peg rails looking elegant around a room – I’m thinking of the interior of St John and Rochelle Canteen restaurants in particular.
The rails are easy to install. Just measure the distance between the apertures on the reverse and then screw two screws into the wall level with each other this distance apart and leave the screw heads approx. 5mm clear of the wall. The rail can then be placed on the screws and pushed down so that the shank of the screw sits in the narrower part of the rail aperture.
