Stoneware Vessels and Bowl by Clay Day
Clay Day is a new project from Lisa Jones – she is using it as an avenue for exploring a burgeoning interest in ceramics. Some of the pieces are marked with with her initials (+ Studio) while others are unmarked.
The vessels and bowl are made from stoneware and feature brush applied decoration , mainly across the external surfaces of the pieces, but the bowl also has decoration on the inside. Although applied manually by brush the decoration often has the appearance of having been spray painted.
The pieces vary in size – the smallest vessel is 7.2cm high by 7cm diameter, the tallest vessel is 10.3cm tall by 6.6cm diameter. The bowl is 6.1cm tall by 13cm diameter.
The individual measurements of each piece are listed against each variation.
Please note that the bowl is not food safe. Enjoy its decorative being . . . or use it as a bowl for those endless bits and pieces (in my case always paperclips & rubber bands).
