Handmade Mosaic Tile – 4

These mosaic tiles are handmade by Catherine Parkinson. Catherine now lives and works in Bristol but we knew here originally when her studio was in the original incarnation of Great Western Studios in London.

Her work encompasses mosaic of all sizes, sometimes this is put to use as an interior finish – she once made a mosaic shower tray for the interior designer Dan Hopwood that featured an octopus – to wall hung mosaic artworks.

These tiles have a plate hanger attached to the reverse so that they can be easily hung on the wall. They are made from a selection of found pieces of stone, glass and ceramics.
