Buren ‘Grand Prix’ chrome and steel vintage wristwatch, circa 1945
A nickel chrome and steel manually wound wristwatch with steel ‘bamboo’ link bracelet
This Buren wristwatch is in attractive original condition. The silvered dial retains an excellent lustre with elegant black Arabic numerals and a finely engine-turned subsidiary seconds dial. Just beneath the hands the ‘Grand Prix’ designation has ghosted with age having evenly faded, this text was most likely red in tone when new. The watch is set to a steel ‘Bamboo‘ link bracelet which is of Bonklip style and is marked ‘Swiss’ – the bracelet is period to the watch and has almost certainly been on the watch since its original purchase.
