Breitling Top Time Ref. 2000 gold plated and steel vintage wristwatch, circa 1965
A gold plated and steel chronograph wristwatch with register
A classic chronograph model, the Top-Time’s dial is typical of the simplified, pared-down designs so favoured by watchmakers during the 1960s. The dial itself has a satin finish and there are two subsidiary dials which display constant seconds to the left whilst, to the right, a 45-minute counter registers minutes whilst the chronograph is running.
[M] Valjoux calibre 7730 manually wound movement, lever escapement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic balance, 18,000 BPH [D] satin finished silvered dial, applied gilded baton hour indexes, two engine-turned subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 45-minute register, minute track combined with calibrations for chronograph seconds, outer tachymeter scale [C] pink gold plated upper case, steel back [S] case, dial, movement and crown signed
