Wedgwood Tulip Form Ribbed Vase
The underside of this vase doesn’t present much space for Wedgwood to leave their usual stamped marks indicating the month and year of production but their is a very feint impression which I think states that this piece was made in November 1969. This glaze and finish is sometimes referred to as moonstone and it’s black counterpoint is called ravenstone.
This shape is particularly useful for flowers; the bulbous lower part allows the water to sit and provide some stability and the foliage and blooms can fall gently from the flared sides of the upper part.
In good condition with no chips or cracks.
