Vintage Brass Pineapple Form Ice Bucket
The brief vogue for everything pineapple shaped my have reached its apex a couple of years ago but this vintage piece rides over such temporary modes.
Cast from brass and with a seam that pulls apart to reveal inside void for storing ice this piece probably dates to the 1950s.
You may wish to find a plastic inner if you are determined to use it as an ice bucket but it makes a handsome and stylish storage vessel for other things without that or equally makes a find decorative piece. The leaves of the pineapple are made from three nesting sections which are secured to the body of the fruit with a nut and bolt meaning that it can be taken apart for polishing.
