Description
Sylvac Rockpool Vase – Ref. 3532
I don’t know if it was the influence of Jacques Cousteau on the popular imagination but Sylvac produced a number of rockpool or shell ranges in the 1960s. This low vase or planter has their pattern reference 3532 and was made at their Stoke-on-Trent factory, probably in the 1960s.
The vase takes the form of a rock, maybe submerged in water, or maybe exposed by the tide with limpets and other shells clinging to it. The glaze colour is a soft off white.
In good condition with no chips or cracks.
