Stoneware Ink Bottles

These three ink bottles don’t show the full range of commercial stoneware made for industrial use but I think they are three interesting examples. The pale one has somehow escaped the glazing process and is in its raw state. The smallest one has an even glossy and even brown glaze whereas the largest one has a slightly dimpled and mottled surface.

All of these bottles make a great makeshift vase, particularly when filled with a few individual blooms.
