Chalice Form Vase by Royal Worcester
Of all the names that you could put to a piece like this Royal Worcester would be fairly low down the list. It must date from the 1970s and there is something distinctly 70s ecclesiastical to it.
I think it is a really stylish thing, but it might be a bit marmite. The main body is glazed in a gold lustre apart from two ridged sections that sit at the waist of the piece. I presume that it was made as a vase rather than a drinking vessel.
The gold lustre is slightly rubbed in places . . . and also shows up fingerprints but the piece is otherwise in good condition with no chips or cracks.
