Pair of Bagley Polka Dot Glass Vases
Bagley was a glass manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. They were founded in 1871 as a bottle manufacturer and had their heyday in the period 1918-1939. This vase postdates that period and the main bulk fo the work that the company produced after the 2nd World war took this design language of black glass over applied with white polka dots. The company also branched out into manufacturing industrial applications of glass including fridge compartment doors and ornate covers for internal lights in cars before ceasing glass production in 1975.
This pair of posy vases probably dates to the 1950s and is a simple shape that looks striking on their own or filled with flowers. As well as this shape we have another vase available as well.
