Crown Devon Jug

This mottled jug from Crown Devon bears a pattern reference written on the bottom: E109 SS. The base of the jug also shows what is presumably the base glaze colour for the rest of the jug – a pale lilac hue.

On top of that base colour furter glazes have been added that are a straw colour and an orangey colour that have all run into one another to create the mottled effect. The mould for the jug itself has bands that give it a sense of dynamism.

The jug was probably made in the 1950s.

In good condition with no chips or cracks.
