Bone China Mug – Greetings from Ludlow
We have had this bone china mug made for us by a pottery based in Staffordshire to a design that we have put together based on one of Ludlow’s iconic black and white buildings, The Feathers Hotel, on Corve Street. The pavement opposite The Feathers is often full of tourists admiring the building and the black and white timber decoration gets more and more complicated the further up the building you look. We’ve simplified this decoration somewhat, but have kept a reference to the pointed sections on the 2nd floor which are now just squared off.
The mug is a really good size, large enough for a decent cup of tea without the risk of it going cold before you reach the bottom of it.
The base of the mug has a backstamp that we have also designed. The whole mug is, we hope, Ludlow enough to be a good souvenir but not so Ludlow that it screams . . . “My partner has been to Ludlow and all I got was this mug.”
