A Spot of Lonelines – Aysha Tengiz
Aysha Tengiz is an illustrator who grew up in Ludlow but now lives and works in London. This graphic picture book is titled A Spot of Loneliness and follows a lonely elephant – an elephant who feels lonely even when he is surrounded by other people.
Aysha’s bright, distinctive, illustration style allows the tale of Fil, the elephant, to play out against a tell-tale London streetscape – the landscape of fried chicken shops, nail bars, barbers and McDonalds.
There’s something new to spot in this short story every time you look at it.
