Audemars Piguet Ref. BA 5014 gold vintage wristwatch, made in 1954
An 18ct yellow gold mid-sized manually wound wristwatch with Audemars Piguet presentation case and letters from the manufacturer
This superb dress watch has an elegant, slim case with down-turned lugs. The dial is a classic Audemars Piguet design with elongated, applied gold hour indexes, matching gold hands and a cross-hair subsidiary seconds dial. Manually wound, the watch is powered by the beautifully finished Audemars Piguet calibre 2001, with finely damascened bridges.
The watch is accompanied by a letter from Audemars Piguet with a service estimate for a complete overhaul of the watch which is dated June 1981. This documentation notes the watch’s case number and model reference and states that the work to be carried out includes a dial restoration. The work was carried out by Audemars Piguet and the watch was returned to the customer with a completion letter dated 5th January 1982. The watch is accompanied by a green suede Audemars Piguet leather watch pouch with buckle closure and green outer card box – these date to the 1980s and were almost certainly supplied at the time of the 1981-82 service.
