We started stocking these French glass jars at the beginning of the year. They’re so useful for all manner of things – from dry food goods (somewhere for whole nutmegs) to a fridge container into which you can scrape leftover risotto.

I also think they make a great present – fill them with some homemade spiced nuts, or, as shown here, some supermarket own brand mini-eggs and you have a present that will be useful long after the contents have been eaten.
